Tim went from a felt tip maestro to school, where he loved art, to design school to a career in design without so much as a thought for an alternative pathway in life.

Apart from a few adventures overseas, Tim has been based primarily in Wellington working for a number of leading design and advertising agencies including Red Rocks (now Ogilvy), Clemenger BBDO and RAMP.

He has consistently featured in BEST, the New Zealand Design awards (Eight times as a finalist) and has twice been a finalist in AWARD, the Australasian Advertising and Design awards. His work has also been accepted into GRAPHIS, the distinguished international design publication.

Tim now splits his time between operating his own freelance design consultancy and directing and designing for www.smallfish.co.nz, a web venture he co-owns with three others, one of whom coded this website.

If Tim's not designing you’ll find him running, playing touch, painting, building or in the Wairarapa up an extension ladder trimming his 10 mtr high, 50 mtr long macrocarpa hedge with a handsaw.
