Projects
Commissions, cOLLABS & SPECIAL WORKS
I’ve been involved in a number of exciting projects creating works for non-profit organisations, commercial enterprises, private collections, collaborations and other initiatives. If you’re seeking a bespoke artwork, a site-specific installation or a collaborative venture, I’d love to hear your ideas.
Filli
FUTURE LAB
I was commissioned by a European mechanical engineering company to create a simple animated artwork of their mascot ‘Filli’ to adorn a couple of digital sliding doors in their future lab visitor centre. Having previously purchased a couple of my lightworks Fill was drawn to my unique digital style and wanted to incorporate it further into this unique space.

Zephyr
coffee co
In this collaboration I was commissioned to create artwork for Zephyr’s Architect blend. I was inspired by the idea of coffee as a social catalyst – depicting three apes drinking from each other’s minds, literally, a visual metaphor for the flow of ideas and madness that sparks change.
Yogallery
REfurbishment
Strengthening and refurbishing Yogallery was a major project for 2024. As part of the refit I installed some new giant canvasses and expanded the immersive lightworks gallery to include more pieces and a massage therapy space!

Devoted
honouring Dame SUSAN DEVOY
This one-of-a-kind work, made out of more than a thousand used squash balls, honours Susan’s commitment to Club Kelburn – New Zealand’s largest squash facility and gym space in the capital, Wellington. This important sporting venue was nearly shut down if wasn’t for the tireless effort of Susan and a bunch of loyal members. Many balls used in the artwork, some of which date back to the 1970s, were retrieved from ceilings following the upgrade in 2022.
Puzzling World
illusion rooms
Inspired by the mesmerising optical characteristics of my work, this iconic NZ attraction commissioned two walk-through experiences for their illusion precinct. Introducing ‘Glow Safari’ and ‘Paradox Lane’—two fully immersive fluorescent environments, activated by UV lightworks, transforming the walls and floors into trippy, illuminated worlds.

WoodFace
Art for dementia
Created as a fundraiser for Dementia New Zealand, this unique piece certainly pushed my artistic boundaries. I drilled nearly 2,000 holes of varying sizes into a tree ‘wheel,’ revealing a human head within its growth rings. The layered composition, where wood grain becomes memory, and cracks echo the mind’s fragile nature, visually interprets both the passing of time and the degenerative impact of dementia.
Nowadeus
WITH THE GRID
Nowadeus is a creative collaboration with The Grid, animator Delainy Jamahl, composer Tom McLeod and sound designer Mike Hodgson. This epic immersive experience features eight imagined gods of the modern era representing our current devotions and obsessions. Nowadeus was first screened in The Grid’s custom-designed space allowing viewers to wander freely and come face to face with the imposing pantheon of deities.

GoldenEye
FUNDRAISER
I was asked to paint a dog for the ‘Paws for Purpose’ interactive art trail and auction, raising funds for Blind Low Vision Guide Dogs. The posture and symmetry of the canine mold reminded me of Egyptian statues, many of which I witnessed on my 2000 trip to Egypt. Drawing inspiration from Tutankhamun’s golden mask, I adorned my dog with golden stripes and contemporary hieroglyphics, merging ancient symbolism with modern artistry. It is by far the most complex and technically challenging piece of art I have ever created but well worth the effort.
Sylvia Park
COMMERCIAL commission
I was commissioned by developers Kiwi Property to create a centrepiece art installation for the foyer of their new Business Centre development in Sylvia Park, Auckland. Speaking to the design narrative of the space I produced a lightwork interweaving strands of natural bamboo to provide a material connection to the forest theme.

Merino
SPLASHBACK
I love seeing my art come to life in different spaces. Here, one of my most collected pieces has been transformed – printed onto glass and beautifully integrated into this stunning, state-of-the-art kitchen fitout.
Moran Law
art commission
In celebration of their first year in business, this triptych was commissioned by Moran Law and commemorates their founding purposes. Their practice was established in 2024 and experienced rapid growth in a challenging climate. They’re doing something right!

Saatchi Art
the other avatars
I was invited to contribute to this NFT initiative curated by Saatchi Art featuring a series of avatars created by an international collective of artists. For the project, each participating artist created up to 20 unique avatars inspired by the self-portraits of renowned Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh, one of the most influential figures in Western art history.
Portraiture
private commissions
I’ve created bespoke artworks in a variety of mediums for collectors around the world including family portraits, beloved pets and treasured personal pieces.
