Cooking
To use the cooker make sure the igniter is switched on. This is located on the wall to the left of the cooker. Please don’t use anything abrasive to clean the cooktop as it will scratch.
Feel free to use anything in the pantry, however if you finish a product we ask that you please replace it for the next people.
Feel free to use the BBQ, however we ask that you clean it and replace the black cover after use. Please also switch gas off when not in use.
Entertainment
Internet
You are welcome to use the The River’s Wi-Fi and cast content onto the TV. Connect to ‘The Rivers’ and use the password ‘Kuratau22’.
SOUND SYSTEM
You can connect your device to the sound system via bluetooth using the Logitech adapter located on the shelf beneath the staircase.
Access the bluetooth settings in your device and locate and connect to the ‘Logitech BT Adapter’. You can now play music or podcasts from your device through the stereo system.
If the sound is too low, you can manually adjust the volume on the amplifier located under the stairs. Simply turn the dial clockwise to increase volume.
Television
The Television is setup with ‘freeview’ and ‘Google Chromecast’ so you can watch free to air TV and cast streamed content from your devices.
To turn on the TV use the red ‘on’ button on the Samsung remote in the top left to switch on the TV.
Use the source button to select the following:
HDMI2 / freeview TV: Use the DISH-TV to switch on the receiver and to control the channels and volume.
HDMI-CEC / Google Chromecast: Once this is selected you can cast from your devices.
LEISURE
GAS FIRE
There is a switch on the wall to the right of the fire. This must be on to ignite the fire. Push in and hold down the right-most black ignition switch on the bottom-left of the burner. Push in the other switches to activate more burners to increase the heat. Switch off when not in use.
Furniture
Please don’t use any indoor furniture outdoors or vice versa. Make sure the umbrella is down at the end of each day in case the weather deteriorates in the evening.
Please use placemats on the dining table to protect the surface.
Spa pool – CURRENTLY OUT OF SERVICE
There is a spa pool power switch in the kitchen. Please ensure this remains ‘off’ unless otheriwse instructed.
When the spa pool is operational, please obeserve the following:
Do not take food into the spa pool to avoid adding impurities to the water.
Do not stand, sit or lie on the spa pool cover.
Do not adjust the temperature setting or attempt to treat the spa pool with chemicals.
Do not jump in/splash and allow water to leave the spa.
Do not leave children unattended when they are in the spa or the cover is removed.
Do ensure you are clean prior to use to ensure sunscreen and other impurities don’t enter the spa.
Do Keep the cover on and fastened when the spa pool is not in use.
TABLE TENNIS
Bats and balls located in the cupboard adjacent to the bunks. Please respect the table and equipment. We love to play too!
BED AND BATH
Bathrooms
Please do not flush any sanitary products down the toilets, it will block the drains.
This house uses a hot water tank. Restrict your use if there are a large number of guests. The hot water is not unlimited.
BEDrooms
The fly screens in the bedrooms and bathrooms are very useful in summer, please be gentle with them. To release them push down gently and push the plastic frame towards the window at the same time. Please do not push on the mesh as this will break it.
The electronic blind on the sliding door to the upper balcony can be operated with the remote control in the master bedroom. This is NOT A TOY so please do not let children play with this. This blind cannot be operated without the remote control.
RUBBiSH
Please sort your rubbish into general waste and recycling. General waste goes into a black bag with an orange sticker (available from the Omori Store) or you can use a yellow council rubbish bag. Glass goes into the black bin and all other recycling goes into the green bin. Rubbish goes out on Sunday night ready for Monday collection.
