Immersive
Large-scale immersive installations allow me to heighten the interplay between abstract and representational art. Through commissions and collaborations I’ve had the privilege to bring my work into diverse spatial contexts, inviting audiences to step inside the art and experience it in profoundly different ways.

Nowadeus
a digital collaboration
Nowadeus awakens my larger than life characters in an intense and hypnotic creative collaboration with The Grid, inviting us to reflect on the conscious and subconscious paradigms we pay homage to in our daily lives.
Created with animator Delainy Jamahl, composer Tom McLeod and sound designer Mike Hodgson, this epic work features eight imagined gods of the modern era representing our current devotions and obsessions. Nowadeus was first screened in The Grid’s custom-designed space allowing viewers to wander freely and come face to face with the imposing pantheon of deities.
Plans are in place to showcase this work in other immersive exhibition spaces around the world. Please contact me if you are interested in presenting this work.

Puzzling World
Glow Safari & Paradox Lane
I was commissioned by this iconic New Zealand tourist attraction to create two walk through experiences in their illusion precinct. They were drawn to the mesmerising optical characteristics of my work and saw an opportunity to do something completely unique.
I created two separate immersive environments calling them ‘Glow Safari’ and ‘Paradox Lane’. Both spaces are fully adorned in fluorescent artwork with ceiling mounted UV lightworks that activate the wall and floor art to create trippy illuminated experiences.
Glow Safari is a floating forest that surrounds you with the animals of Aotearoa. Circular avian lightworks above guide you through the space with the walls revealing creatures of the land and the floor featuring a beautiful collection of marine life.
Paradox Lane speaks to the binary nature of my work with a series of oxymorons; opposites ideas that come tougher to create unified sentiments. The space is characterised by strong geometric designs and lenticular walls upon which a variety characters emerge to tell their opposing stories.
